The library does not operate on staff and town funding alone. Without the invaluable help of many other supporters, we could not bring our stakeholders the level of service they are accustomed to. There are a variety of ways you can lend your support to the library, whether it be a gift of time or money.
In addition to staff, for example, the library welcomes the assistance of a corps of volunteers–from students looking to fulfill community service requirements, to seniors taking advantage of the Sudbury Senior Work Program, to the many individuals who want to give something back–the library is committed to engaging these community partnerships. If you would like to volunteer at the library, please fill out the form on our Volunteer page, and we will get in touch with you shortly.
The Friends of the Goodnow Library are always looking for help sorting donated books, and with their annual book sale. If you don’t have the time to spare, consider an annual membership to the Friends, which supports crucial services like children’s story times and crafts, museum passes, the Sunday Afternoons at Goodnow, and much more.
The Goodnow Library Foundation seeks to build an endowment to cover the cost of ongoing major capital expenses. Help the Foundation keep the Goodnow Library a vital part of the Sudbury community.
