FAIR: Saturday Program for Families

We are very excited here at Goodnow about a special upcoming program called Family Adventures in Reading (FAIR). This is a six week program, sponsored by Mass Humanities, in which professional storyteller George Capaccio will lead families and children 6 and older in discussions about children’s stories on topics such as fairness, courage, and dreams. The program will run from 2-3:30 PM on six Saturdays (March 5, 12, 19 & April 2, 9, 16) and up to 25 families can participate.

The program will start off with an introductory session and then there will be five sessions focusing on specific themes. Each week, families will be sent home with 2 to 3 books to share together before the next session. Ideally a family would be able to commit to all 6 sessions. However, we know that will be hard for many families so there is flexibility.

Because of the nature of this program, all registration will be run through Assistant Head of Children’s Amy Stimac via email (astimac@minlib.net)or phone (978-440-5545). There will be NO online registration.
