GLF Presents: Opening Your Child’s Mathematical Mind

How can parents use “questioning” to develop their children’s mathematical minds?

As we all work to support the teaching and learning of math, close attention needs to be paid to the questions we ask our children. We want them to not only understand what they think, but to be able to articulate how they arrived at that understanding.

Please join us for a lively and informative discussion about good questioning routines and practices.

Presented by Lainie Schuster, Lower School Head at Fay School in Southborough, and author of several books about math teaching, including, “Good Questions for Math Teaching, Grades 5-8: Why Ask Them and What to Ask.”
