Hour of Code at Goodnow Library!

Hour of Code is coming to Goodnow! Children, middle schoolers, and teens are invited to join us on December 9th from 4pm-5pm to code.  This hour of code is the largest learning event in history; over 100,000 Hour of Code events will be held worldwide during the week of December 7-13, 2015 to introduce children to computer science programming.

No coding experience needed! Get started with a simple project featuring Minecraft, Star Wars, Angry Birds or Frozen characters. For more advanced programmers try out Code Combat. Check out Code.org for examples.

In order to allow the greatest number of children and teens to participate, please bring your own computer, tablet or smartphone to participate in a variety of self-guided tutorials. A limited number of library devices will be available for those who are unable to bring a device.
