This summer, kids from birth through rising 5th graders are invited to “Read, Renew, Repeat!” Together we will learn creative ways to care for our planet and ourselves.

It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3!

  1. REGISTER FOR SUMMER READING Starting Thursday, June 13th, drop by the children’s desk at the library to register! You will receive a companion pack with a paper reading log, 50 stickers for daily tracking, and a starter necklace so you can earn beads as you read! Instructions for virtual tracking using BEANSTACK will also be provided.
  2. READ and TRACK YOUR MINUTES Find some good books and READ – listening also counts! Keep track of your minutes on the paper reading log or directly on BEANSTACK
  3. BUILD a NECKLACE and MYSTERY MURAL Visit us at the children’s desk to redeem all that great reading for fun beads for your necklace! Show us your paper reading log and pick out your beads. You can trade in beads as well. Also, help us complete our mystery mural! Every time you show us your reading log, you will get a sticker to put on the mural. At the end of the summer, they mystery mural image will be revealed!

Reading is just the beginning…there are Summer Programs for Everyone!

Starting Thursday, June 20, join us for our weekly line-up of fun summer programs!

Summer Sweets & Science – Rising 4th and 5th graders are invited to join us each Monday at 4:00 PM for Summer Sweets & Science! From candy sushi to zebra cakes, come every Monday this summer, as we blend science with cooking. You’ll go home after each session with enough fun treats to share with friends and family.
